Condolence Message from the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the Passing of Pope Francis Leader of the Catholic Church

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Zealand deeply mourns the passing of Pope Francis and extends its condolences to the Catholic Church, the Christian community worldwide, as well as in New Zealand and Iran.

Throughout his leadership, Pope Francis was always an advocate of peace, dialogue, and peaceful coexistence between Abrahamic religions and human societies, opposing injustice and the oppression of innocent people.

The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, while expressing sincere sympathy, hopes that his spiritual legacy will serve as a guiding light for all in the pursuit of human solidarity, peace, and understanding between nations.
